This honey-based hair oil is finally bringing life back to our sun-damaged locks

This honey-based hair oil is finally bringing life back to our sun-damaged locks

During a time when we’re demanding a more holistic approach to beauty — wanting to know the ins and outs of ingredient lists and questioning the ethical positions of products — it seems there’s never been a better time for nature’s honey to shine. At least, that’s what Emily White thinks, nutritionist and founder of the new, groundbreaking hair formula COMB.

Believing that hair deserves just as much nutrition as the body, COMB boasts ingredients that would keep even the most meticulous of environmentalists happy. The wondrous oil champions New Zealand’s antibacterial Manuka honey, combining it with a medley of natural oils to create a nutritional powerhouse of sorts. (All while leaving out the nasties, you’ll find no parabens, sulphates or silicone here.) Refusing to settle for merely conditioning the hair, (which it does, in spades) the formula is also specifically beneficial to each hair type — improving the texture of dry, fine hair, while making curly tresses far more manageable.

The process is simple: before styling, simply add one to two drops of the liquid gold to towel-dried hair from the mid-length to the ends. Be sure to remember that a little goes a long way, so two drops should be more than enough. For those whose hair is feeling extra damaged, (thanks, heatwave), we recommend you add two or three drops to dry hair before bed, wrap your locks loosely in a towel and let the manuka work its magic while you snooze.

Ultra nourishing, hydrating, shine-inducing and simple to use, we’re wondering how we ever managed without COMB before. We’re thanking those hard worker bees, (and Emily, of course) for this lustrous creation — suffice to say, this little product has already cemented itself firmly into our morning routine.
